A Confession

I have mentioned before that I am not a baker.
Remember this?
When I asked Chris what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday, he requested pie. 
Hubby mentioned a pie baked in a skillet.
Since I no longer make my own husband's Lemon Meringue Pie anymore, I panicked.
For a moment.
Then I had an idea.
I cheated.
I bought one of these.
 
 
I took it out of the pie tin and plopped the frozen pie in the skillet and baked as the directions stated.
 
The pie was quite a bit smaller than my skillet, but over the course of the next hour or so, it spread out...baked the crust perfectly and made me look like a baker.
 
At least until I hit "publish".
