Fifty years ago today, a young couple began their lives together in marriage.
There was no way of knowing what that union would create.
They were a hard working, creative, fun and loving couple and as their oldest daughter, I can attest to the fact that they still are.
They are a wonderful example to their two daughters, sons-in-law and 5 grandchildren of how to work together through thick and thin and make a marriage work.
They have always been dedicated to each other.
They have shown us that family comes first and while disagreements and challenges will come along, by working together and having faith and love, we will persevere and become stronger.
I am proud and honored to have these two as my parents and I thank you, Dad, for agreeing to take Mom's dogs when Granddad said that was his condition on giving his blessing way back when!
Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, love is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things.
Love never fails.
