A Quick Parade Post

Last week, for the first time in years, I actually sat down in a chair and watched most of the Veteran's Day Parade.
In the past, we usually watch as the band with our kidnicks in it pass by and then run off to help with that.
Not this year.
Sugar Plum Fairy and I sat down like real parade viewers and had a great time!
We did watch Lollipop Pop's band pass by, but we sat still.

We waved to friends...
...and realized that this lovely lady in the center is not the little girl she was yesterday...
seriously...it was only yesterday that she was in the 3rd grade, right?
There were lots of floats honoring our Veterans...

Four generations of farmers...

And the Shriners.
These men always bring smiles to those who watch. and such a wonderful cause.

The fact that my son came and sat with us made this parade pretty doggone perfect.
It is truly the small things in life that mean the most.
