A Note of Thanks

I have posted this photo previously, but had to share this.
Mom gave me permission to post the letter she mailed to the nurses who helped last year with Dad's surgery.

Hello Ladies
You take good care of so many people, it is unlikely that you remember one from another after a period of months.  My husband had a 5-way heart bypass operation exactly one year ago today when he was 79.  We thought that since you only see the patients coming in, you should also see them after their operations, so when we came back down for his 2 week check-up, we brought some tasty goodies, and came in so he could tell you thank you, and that he was already walking ½ mile a day.
Now it is exactly one year later, he is 80 years old, and I thought you might enjoy an update.  In the past year he still walks a mile a day, but in the past year he has also ridden his bicycle 3,104  miles since his surgery. I am adding a photo for you to see.
For all you do, and all you did, we are very grateful and continue to say “Thank You!” to each and every one of you.

How sweet! What a great idea!! Nurses work hard each and every day. And they put up with a lot from sick people and their families. We should all acknowledge their hard work and give them a big thank you!
My daughter just this week passed her LPN test and come next spring she will be taking the RN test.
Personally I could not do what they do but I am so thankful for those who are called to do such work!

What a sweet thing to do! With a daughter who works in the ER - she only sees the bad, the crisis, but rarely the good outcome. And almost never a one-year later progress report! I bet those nurses loved it!
