When Lollipop Pop's high school marching band planned a trip to Disneyland, Medieval Times and the Hollywood Christmas Parade on Thanksgiving Weekend, I was thrilled for her. Being in this band offered me an insight to travel and offered so many opportunities when I was in high school. The memories of bus trips and hotel stays with friends, laughter and fun remain with me today.
I love that the tradition has continued to some extent over the years.
I then thought was of Sugar Plum Fairy and Disneyland and Christmas Decor and her desire to see Medieval Times.
Well, I convince my hubby that travelling to Los Angeles on one of the busiest weekends of the year as well as Disneyland on one of the most crowded weekends of the year was a GOOD thing.
As it turned out, it was a lot of fun! I put the crowds out of my mind and away we went.
We even got to see what happens when a motorcycle Highway Patrolman enters the highway in front of you and swerves across all 4 lanes for a mile waving his arm to slow down. Three buses enter the freeway accompanying by more CHP officers and escort them to another exit, unhindered by the holiday traffic.
Sure wonder who was in those buses.
Sugar Plum Fairy loved the dinner show.
If you ever have the chance to attend one of these, do so.
The food is decent and the horses are amazing.
The jousting and sword fights are entertaining.
We were on team Green Knight and he was fun.
He even tossed Sugar Plum Fairy a pink carnation. She was thrilled!
On the walk back to our hotel, my daughter deemed this one of the best nights...EVER. Doesn't get much better than that.
