Simple and Thankful

I am thankful for a bowl of these.

To most, they simply look like a bowl of apples and pears (with a label showing photography faux pas) but they represent so much more to me.
I am also thankful to own the gorgeous dining room table upon which they sit that was made my my grandfather.
Simple things.

I too have been seeing the simple blessings in my life and being so grateful for them. I didn't decide to do this conscientiously, but it is happening. The natural result of growing older? Or of having so much to be grateful for?

I'm with you, Jen. The older I get the more I'm really seeing and appreciating the simple abundance of God's bounty - I love your photo and all that it represents.

I hope you'll enjoy Mayflower as much as I am - I'm on chapter 3 and I swear this is all new history to me.

Wow, a diningroom table! My Grandfather worked with wood also. Wish I had some of those things he made.
