Operation Christmas Child

For the past several years our kidnicks have participated in the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Project.
Do you know about this?
In a nutshell, you pack a shoe box with goodies for a child in an underprivileged country.  You then locate a drop off location in your area from the website and deliver your box between November 12 and November 19. The boxes are shipped and delivered to children around the world.  You can choose the age group and gender of the child you help, as well.   We have packed items like socks and jammies, hard candies and toothbrushes (hmmm...wonder why I typed those two together), crayons, paper, etc.  You get the picture.  We have even received letters from the children who received our boxes.
What a rewarding experience it was.
Now is a terrific time to get lots of items for the boxes at back to school sales.
We are participating...will you?

My Mother and sister-n-law recently volunteer for a back to school shoe donation. Each child received a pair of socks and a pair of shoes after they had their feet washed by a volunteer. My Mother-n-law prayed with each child that a parent would allow. She was very humbled and blessed. By the way, she was one of the feet washers.
