4-H Mini Member' s Cake Decorating

We had our final Mini-Member meeting of the year for 4-H yesterday afternoon.  The kids get to design and execute that design in fondant on a Styrofoam cake round and really enjoy this project. For some, this was their second year making then...take a look at last year's creations.
I love helping the Mini Members, but watching the older kids helping and guiding the little ones, makes my heart happy.
(These Mini Members are all between 6 and 9 years)

We had a lot of cowboy cakes this year...I love the mottled brown boot in the lower left corner....the one in the back with the road will have a hot wheel car added...and the boy who was doing the Spiderman decided it was perfect and is thrilled.

With the exception of Sugar Plum Fairy's offering, these cakes were all done by boys...
I love it!
