A milestone

(This was taken when Sugar Plum Fairy
was 1 month old)

(First day of school August 16, 2010)
Today, all three of my children are in school. In almost 16 years, I have only been without a child at home for 2 of them. While I am planning on enjoying myself in the days to come, today is tricky.

Believe me, I understand!
It's the first time in years we can have the freedom to do the things we want or not do anything. No one calling our name.
But then...no one is calling our name.
Mixed emotions!!

I hear ya girl. It was a very tricky day for me too. I had to turn the radio on just to have some noise because I couldn't stand the quiet at first. But then it grew on me a little. I hope your kiddos had a great first day!

Oh, my. Be careful what you wish for, right? I often find splendor in the thought of being in my home BY MYSELF for even just a few hours and yet the thought of them all being away from me for an entire day makes me ill. It's the bittersweet of mommyhood.

May your day be peaceful and may you adjust to your new "norm", Jen!

I found you over at Nie's show and tell. I thought that you might enjoy a project that I have going on over at my Blog. Every Tuesday I host The Happiness Project. You simply post a photo of something that makes you happy and then link up.

I'm trying to take over the Blogosphere with happiness. Here is a link to this week's post if you want to see what it's all about.
