Day at Sea

Our cruise was a 10 nighter and with only 2 days at sea! We would see wonderful places, but the first day would be spent exploring the ship and all that she had to offer. Shaggy played basketball most of the day...as well as any spare moments for the next 10 days. Lollipop Pop and I attended an Origami Folding Class...and failed miserably! It was fun, though. Pizza by the pool became a favorite snack as did the soft serve ice cream. Another fantastic tip my sister gave us was to take some ice cream to the drink station and add a bit of milk...stir and you have a terrific milkshake!

If you ask Sugar Plum Fairy what she wants to be when she grows up, she always answers, "A Princess!" Well, I packed her Cinderella dress on the sly and presented it to her on this day. Her eyes lit up when I told her she would be meeting several Princesses this morning! Her Daddy escorted her to the Atrium, stood in the line like the wonderful father he is and took pictures of her with Cinderella, Aurora, Tiana, Snow White, Belle and Alice in Wonderland...the problem...those pics are on the missing card! We did purchase 2 of them on the ship, thankfully.

We went to the theater after our formal dinner that evening and watched a live production of "Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story".

It was a lovely, princessy day!

Looks like your princess LOVED being on your cruise! How fun -- I've been curious about those family friendly cruises -- it looks like a winning vacation. :)

I can just imagine the excitement on her face when you pulled out her princess costume.
That's a memory to last a lifetime.
You two are GREAT parents!!

Hi again! How did I miss that you went on a 10 DAY MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE??? Um, can I say "dream of my life"?!! I've been so busy lately though, I haven't had as much time to read blogs - just trying to post to my own has been a challenge!- Anyway, I look forward to hearing more about it, and if you have any tips, I would love to hear them. We're planning to go on our first cruise this Winter, and I need all the pointers I can get: where to book from, how to get the best price, what length is a good length, what to look for in a ship, etc.- Lay 'em on me :-) Hope you're enjoying your day so far!
