Here it goes...

...I have neglected posting about our recent Mediterranean Cruise because every time I think about my missing camera card, I get physically nauseous! I have decided to suck it up and get on with the story telling.

We decided to check out of our Barcelona hotel and head on over to the ship early. We arrived while there were still passengers disembarking from he previous cruise, but a porter took our luggage as we stepped out of the taxi so we wandered around a bit looking at the ship from the dock. It wasn't long before were were allowed to enter the cruise terminal. We garnered seats and just people watched. There was a pair of Flamenco Dancers and a "statue" who magically moved when kids wheren't looking. It was fun to watch the little ones wonder how that happened. Disney Characters came out for photos as well. While we were waiting, a gentleman came up to us and asked if we would like to be "The Family of the Day". Ummm...okay. Shortly, he came back and ushered us to the other side of the room where he introduced us over the loudspeakers as we boarded the ship FIRST!!! People clapped and off we went. We were announced as we got on the ship and were guided to the dining room where again, we were cheered! It was very cool to be the first people on the ship! We had lunch and then went to the pool area. My sister has been on 3 Disney Cruises and had given us some great tips. Since our luggage wouldn't be in our cabin until later, we had the kids pack their swim suits in their carry-ons. Lollipop Pop and Sugar Plum Fairy and hubby changed into their suits and spent the afternoon in Mickey's Pool. It was a nice relaxing way to start the trip. There are pictures of this as well as the water slide and our dinner that evening...but alas, I don't have them! Tomorrow...

Malta!

Yay! Family of the day! Fun, fun!
Sounds like you were spoiled on that cruise.
We all need a little spoiling sometimes.
